The Clear Lake High Schoolers have been making some ribs for the Legal Eagle. Here is their progress!
The team got down to business building the first jig for the high schoolers. Once built, they put together 2 ribs to make sure everything was ready for the kids. Things are going to start taking shape now.
The Clear Lake High School shop class visited Metal Fabricators in Mason City to see how they created the jigs the class will be working with. The project is running at full steam ahead!
We have now assembled the new worktables for the Clear Lake High School shop class to begin work on the Legal Eagle. More coming soon!
Aviation youth camp for kids age 8-17 will be held at the Mason City airport June 11th 2011- 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. 8:30 am pre-registration recommended.

EAA 94 is proud to promote aviation learning in our local high school. Our new program “Project School Flight” will allow us to do just that. High school students will be building a ultra light aircraft during the course of the school year through industrial arts class.
This project features a unified effort between the school and the local EAA 94 chapter. High school students will benefit from learning practical applications in aeronautical engineering, CAD drawing, building, welding, wood working and metal work.
The finished aircraft will belong to EAA Chapter 94 and will be sold to finance the program the following school year.
